FLORIDA, IN MY SHOWER: AFTERNOON HEAT

E io continuo a tornarci.

An afternoon in Key West. The sun burns softly, the ocean stretches out before me, and a small boat in the distance seems to float outside of time.

Then there is him. A body sculpted by the light. Drops of water slowly trace the contours of his skin before disappearing into the sea. I watch them and think about how much I would like to follow their path. For a moment, everything becomes blurred and desire grows deep, quiet.

Then I come home to my shower. I close my eyes. The yellow tiles become the sun of Key West, the same light I imagine falling across his body, continuing to sculpt my memory. The journey enters a more intimate space, and the scene begins again, every time, inside my head.

The boat remains in the distance. He remains there. And I keep going back.

And so, every time I step into my shower, I return to Key West, to that desire.
