Quest’opera nasce dopo un intervento per l’HPV.

All’improvviso il mio corpo diventa un luogo clinico.

Una sala d’attesa.

Un lettino.

Guanti in lattice.

Una luce fredda al neon.

Credo che quell’esperienza abbia cambiato il mio modo di vivere il sesso negli anni successivi. Come se il mio corpo fosse rimasto in degenza.

Per molto tempo ho avuto la sensazione di abitare un corpo violato, nel quale qualcuno era entrato per salvarmi.

Per me, il desiderio e la paura hanno sempre parlato la stessa lingua.

Suddenly, my body became a clinical space.

A waiting room.
An examination table.
Latex gloves.
A cold fluorescent light.

I believe that experience changed the way I lived my sexuality in the years that followed. As if my body had never fully left recovery.

For a long time, I felt as though I were living inside a violated body—one that someone had entered in order to save me.

To me, desire and fear have always spoken the same language.
